How often to post on Facebook per week
Three to five posts a week. Why organic reach changes the equation there
Three to five posts a week on a page. Posting more does not increase reach on Facebook, where organic distribution is low anyway.
Frequency is not the real issue
A Facebook page organically reaches a small share of its followers. Doubling the number of posts does not double that share: Facebook picks what to show, and it favours what gets reactions, not what is recent.
One post that triggers comments goes further than three lukewarm ones. This is the network where quality weighs heaviest against volume.
What still works organically
- Reels, pushed well beyond the page followers
- Content that asks a question and invites an answer
- Group posts, often more visible than page posts
It logs in early morning then at lunch, not late at night. A rhythm tuned for Instagram does not work here.
A rhythm that holds
- New page: three posts a week, looking for what gets reactions.
- Established page: five a week, at least two of them Reels.
- Selling: one promotional post in five, no more.
